This is exactly what I do through my coaching program.
My wellness and fitness journey began in my childhood. I was raised in a home where my mother, guided by her own instincts, taught my sister and me the value of eating healthy, well-balanced food as well as maintaining an active lifestyle.
And I am forever grateful for this upbringing, as it has shaped who I am today.
In my mid-20s, I chose a hormonal IUD as a form of birth control, believing it to be the perfect “permanent” solution since I didn’t want to have kids. However, little did I know that this choice, which lasted 14 years, would silently impact my body and hormones, especially since most of the time, I didnt have a period, as this one of its side effects.
Looking back, I wish I had been better informed about the IUD’s side effects and the essential role of a regular period and ovulation in women’s overall well-being—both in the short and long term.
I want to highlight that I’m not against birth control—it has given us, as women, tremendous freedom in shaping our careers, lives, and futures. However, I firmly believe that women deserve to be fully informed about both the benefits and potential drawbacks, especially when using it long-term.
Fast forward to 2022, at 39 years old, these imbalances started showing up as migraines that lasted for days, low energy, anxiety for the first time in my life, sleeping disturbances, and more.
I didn’t feel like myself—I felt lost, as I couldn’t recognise myself anymore. I was scared, unable to understand what was happening to me.
Unfortunately, trying to get medical advice only made the situation more frustrating by being completely dismissed, gaslighted, and left without answers.
At the same time, this experience also gave me a strong determination to take control of my own health and find the answers that I needed.
And it was then, that my hormonal healing journey, as I like to call it, began…
Driven by a desire to understand my body and feel better, I committed myself to learning. I immersed myself in courses, read books, and listened to countless podcasts and experts on the topic.
And not long after, this journey of healing and self-discovery led me to enrol at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), where I became certified as a Health & Wellness Coach.
I truly believe that it is very important to empower women with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their bodies and hormones.
I went back to basics, making lifestyle changes both big and small. I learnt to align my life with my menstrual cycle, prioritised rest and sleep, managed stress, improved my nutrition, created a more consistent spiritual practice, and more—all with one clear goal in mind: to heal my body naturally.
It was not always easy. I faced many challenging times and days along the way. But this holistic approach led me to transformative healing and helped me create new habits that today are an essential part of my daily life.
Today, I feel stronger, healthier, and more connected to my body and hormonal health than ever before.
This doesn’t mean every day is perfect—we all have our ups and downs—but for the most part, I feel incredible and in control of my well-being. My life is no longer put on hold for a week or two every month; I do not dread my period anymore. Today, I embrace it.
Now, I’m living the life I love—resilient, empowered, and in harmony with my hormones!
Through this journey, I discovered how transformative it is to truly understand and nurture your hormonal health. I created this space to ensure women feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported every step of the way.
My goal is to guide women toward reconnecting with their bodies through sustainable lifestyle changes, helping them achieve a level of well-being they may have thought was out of reach.
I love helping others feel as empowered as I do today.
